I LOVE the vessels being "bone-stained." And are you talking vessels like arteries, or vessels like trains?
Neat notion, a haunting by tension. But I am not sure where the cabins come in or what they mean. Still, your lines make me feel the walls trembling from the unseen haunter.
Oh darling, this 8-line poem is so nice! The -re-representation of a muted image grabs a subtle truth which briefly show how harmless yet pitiful the narrator has become for a certain moment. I am tempted to say that the ghost seems to be twice removed from living with your poem. Always lovely!
You are a sure 'nuff writer, Madison, and I like very much that your allusions are not obvious and hackneyed. If we understand everything, even in our own poetry, is it even poetry? Keep at it. About the previous post, wondering about growing up, I'm sixty-six, and still wondering. ~ R.
Fireblossom, you are so wonderful for understanding much of the symbolism in my poems! I adore you. I was telling my friend, Sky, just last night that much of my writing is hard to understand- unless you know what's going on in my skull, you know? Cryptic. I don't know. Vessels: capillaries, bloodless. Cabins: planes. Tight-splitting tension is the cabin pressure, you know? Passengers, being haunted, but not speaking my name. I don't understand it much myself. Feelings, feelings, pens. Again, lovely, thank you.
Arian Rey Tejano, YOU ARE CHARMING. Goodness your comments are always so wonderful. Thank you, a million little hearts, thank you.
Ralphe, I don't have the words to tell you how much I appreciate your comment. You nailed it. Nailed.
Oh, what a fantastic blog.. I can feel your presents in your pennings, a wisp of your soul with the passing of every syllable of your fading words in my thoughts as I read.. Absolutely cerebral...
Thank you for your wonderful comment on my posting...

An atmospheric poem but I must say it was 'Roadtrip' I enjoyed most. What a great picture you painted!
