made from strands of windy sleeves.
I'm treading through the underbrush,
pockets filled with quaking leaves.
Tiny flakes of crystals flutter,
waking stems from silent tongues.
Brooding air is pouring thicker,
sealing off my anxious lungs.

Did your weekend inspire this wonderful work of words?
ReplyDeleteFondly, Ferret
This is beautiful. What inspires you to write so beautifully? Have you ever heard of John Keats? He is an incredible poet and I'm sure you would love his poems. There's a movie about him called Bright Star. Very touching story. You might enjoy it.

ReplyDeleteLovely poetry, Madi! Aren't words just the most beautiful tool?

beautiful!!inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteHey, would you been cool with it if I stole one of your lines from a poem (I'm unsure of which one right now) to paint onto a tee-shirt? (I wouldn't be selling it, it would be just for my own personal wear.)
I LOVE your descriptions! They are so visual and emotional and inspiring! I want to go write a poem now!
