I'm a mermaid today, without gills,
stripped from strands of fraying rope.
I'm fading into dampened hills,
like deer tracks on an icy slope.
The copper lights are still ablaze,
scorching dust and a speckled isle.
Wood chipped ceilings held my gaze,
you told me "It might be a while."

  1. Hi! I saw you dropped by and I headed right over. Your blog is lovely, and your writing is a delight. Think we'll have a look around. I'll try not to leave any fur.

  3. The ebb and flow in this verse is extraordinary with rich imagery and a fantastic shot to match. Well done.
