Quiet in your movements
as your teeth split
like sea clams.
Opening and closing.
Your dove-gray jaw
heaves in high staccato,
charting gentle flagships
and postmarking
a sea of white-washed
heel and shin conversations.
Tiny splinters of light
beneath the tide pools
reveal delicate shells,
making real
the faraway sounds
of a name.

  2. The nameless poem is very esoteric, and hard for me to wrap my head around, which, on its own, makes it very intriguing. I absolutely ADORE "Tea," though. Marvelous rhyme-scheme!

  13. your imagery is wrapped in mystery but shines in beauty. The touch of surrealism makes it a bit of a puzzle for the brain, yet we can feel the meaning from our senses.
