Shedding and reassembling...magnificent description of the healing process.
Whether you ever hear of your father's regrets (or anyone else' for that matter) that isn't as important as the fact that you're able to heal and become stronger after the assault.
Broken bones and hearts mend to a point that they are actually stronger than before the dragons attack.
This is lovely- really deep, (for want of a better phrase) truthful words. The best kind of poetry- the kind that speaks to people. You're very talented.
