Wet pendulums on the glass
and the echo reminds me
that my body is an auditorium.
Shedding and reassembling.
I swept myself into the organs
and my bones were dust,
floating melodically
like a sheer column of light.

I hope that one day,
you regret what you said

Dad.

  1. Shedding and reassembling...magnificent description of the healing process.

Whether you ever hear of your father's regrets (or anyone else' for that matter) that isn't as important as the fact that you're able to heal and become stronger after the assault.

Broken bones and hearts mend to a point that they are actually stronger than before the dragons attack.

  2. This is lovely- really deep, (for want of a better phrase) truthful words. The best kind of poetry- the kind that speaks to people. You're very talented.
