I possess the greatest friendship in the entire world. How fortunate, to meet in a sandbox, and eighteen years later share an inseparable unity. Of course, we have our differences about Mary Kate and Ashley's face time on Full house, but we've agreed to disagree. We're both right, darling. Next time let me finish brushing the tangles out of your hair. Haeleigh, I adore you. You've been consistent through it all. Your ears were a refuge for my venting frustrations. Thank you, thank you. Thank you for picking strawberries so we can enjoy them while dancing in summer rain. Thank you for writing heartfelt letters about wrongs made against me for the benefit of my education. Thank you for wearing sequins to my sixth birthday party. Thank you for letting me sleep in your bed even though I had one right across the hall. Thank you for letting me cry, for not saying anything, just driving to steel giants, until I had recovered enough to speak. Thank you for being my confidant, you've been an unbreakable harbor to store away all my secrets. Thank you for standing beside me when I was so hurt by childish replications. Thank you for trusting me, always. Thank you for bandaging my wounds, holding my hand when sheer cliffs were too high for me to go off of alone, for making me laugh so hard working out's no longer needed. I'm so grateful our Grandma's are best friends so that we could meet. You're wonderful.
